For Mom

For my mother and mothers everywhere, Happy Mother's Day!
And this quote from Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815-1902), U.S. abolitionist and campaigner for woman suffrage is one of the most appropriate for motherhood (first-time motherhood, especially) that I've seen: "Though motherhood is the most important of all the professions--requiring more knowledge than any other department in human affairs--there was no attention given to preparation for this office."
There are more schmaltzy quotes about mothers here if you care to look.
