Since today is Memorial Day - here is a link to The Navy Log and my father, a sailor in World War II and the Korean War. He passed on in 1997, but I still memorialize him every year at this time.
Other veterans in my family include my Grandpa John B. Roberts, a World War I veteran and my great-great-Grandpa George Mifflin Dallas Roberts, the Small Town Boy, who was a veteran of the Civil War. There was also my great-great Grandfather Mathew R. Cunningham and his uncle, Samuel Wiley Cunningham who were Civil War veterans and my great-great-great-great Grandpa Roberts who was a veteran of the War of 1812.
All but my father were Army.
