Today we went to the park again. Today there was the opening of a "Children's Garden" in the park - near the tennis courts and the playgrounds. It has potential, but I am afraid the garden will kind of slide into oblivion before long. At any rate, it was sponsored by the Verona Park Conservancy . They had a nice band and some snacks and a raffle ( which I entered and lost at), along with the usual trying to get younger people to join the Conservancy. It was nice, but hot day - 88° F. at 7 p.m. It was a little cooler when we went to the park, but not a lot.

BTW, the homicidal mama duck is still there with her nine younguns....
