Women's History Month

And today's link is - the U.S. Census Bureau, which tells us, among other things, that 76¢ is the amount women who work full time, year-round make for every $1 their male counterparts earn. This ratio, according to them, represents an all-time high, eclipsing the previous high of 74¢ for every $1, first recorded in 1996. And this link is the press release from the Bureau that tells us that little women's history tidbit, in addition to the fact that the nation's poverty rate rose from 11.3 percent in 2000 to 11.7 percent in 2001. Late breaking news should tell us soon that that rate has risen even higher, but I wouldn't bet on that anytime soon...
