Well, this morning the mover came and brought boxes and tape --and told me boxes couldn't be too heavy, that I shouldn't/couldn't use duct tape, and the furniture shouldn't really have anything in it - especially the records in the record cabinet. He also shoveled out a path to the car and put salt and sand down on the porch. I woke Steven up long enough to get his wallet - in his "room"- and get $40 to give the guy for his extra help.
Steven put some Eight Tracks out and I sorted through them intending to take them out for the garbage which they didn't pick up yesterday. I put them in the garbage bag next to my desk and put my cleats on and took it out, only to find they already picked up the garbage, although one bag was stuck to the bottom of the can. I put the bag in anyway and pulled it up to in front of the garage. I've got to ask Elysha or the realty agent how we're going to get in the house in Granger.
Been a long day and it's not even noon.
The closing statements have to be "signed" by Steven. I asked him if I could do it for him, or if he wanted to get up and do it himself? He said I could do it... He's still curled up in "bed". Done and saved. Hope it's kosher, as it's an Autosign, not his actual "signature".
Went to the dentist, gave him the Beetle Bailey poster I got years ago and got my crown put on - it cost $900.
I put in a request for doctors, dentists, etc, in Granger on Next Door. We'll see if anybody answers.
I got one response that said there was a good gym that had good exercise equipment, massage and physical therapy - and a pool. She also says she gets meds at Costco and the link to the library. I went to check its website out - and they are closed on Wednesdays. That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard.
Closing was this afternoon and Elysha called around 6:30 and wanted to know how things went. I said what things and she went bananas. Wondered why we hadn't gone what would happen because we didn't go... Anyway, she called around and found that we didn't have to be there, we'd signed all the papers and it was good, but after bank hours so the money will be wired to my account tomorrow. Elysha is going nuts - things are getting out of control and she can't handle it. That's why all the people who are getting paid to handle it are being paid.
