Montclair Art Museum

Steven and I went to the Montclair Art Museum today for their exhibit "Reflecting Culture: The Evolution of Comic Book Superheroes and Comic Book Legends: Joe, Adam, and Andy Kubert ". The art shown was very impressive - one piece of original art was a sketch of the first cover of Superman by Joe Shuster, inscribed to Michael Uslan (the producer of some of the Batman movies). And one of the comics was especially impressive - it was Supergirl #65

from 2001. It was Steven's 50th birthday present, arranged via Elayne and Robin Riggs, with help from Leonard Kirk. Steven was the face of the "bad guy" in the one issue, stand alone story. We have a sheet of the original art, too. If we had known , we could've offered it to the Museum for the show. Take a look at the museum's link. There was a lot of work done on the Montclair Art Museum since the last time I was there... It's very nice!
