Grandpa Roberts' WWI medal. We had never seen it or heard about it until we found it in with diaries of his and Grandma's in a bag in Mom's closet. The list of places that are on the medal are Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse- Argonne, and Defensive Sector. I guess those are the places/reason he got the medal. It's beautiful, just like the day he got it. I suspect it's in the box he got it in and has been there for 100 years. .
