Today, in order of appearance - Jenni calls, needs money to move - seems her place is going to pot dangerously. I get Medical Transport to go to obstetrician, get good bill of health, go by Walgreens (bless the driver, it was against the rules, but since it wasn't out of the way, he did it for me), get home, and find that I locked myself out. I call Elysha, who has just left the hospital where Grandma is still lingering and she says she'll come by with the key. I futz around in the garage until I really have to go to the bathroom and I go to the Knippings. I dump the story of this month on Valerie, bless her, and go home to Elysha and Jimi , who let me in. Elysha is pissed because Steven didn't show up at the hospital, but says the social worker says that they really shouldn't "sit vigil" because it spikes her adrenaline and keeps her going. I get things together for paper pick-up tomorrow, send Jenni $500 so that she can move in to a better place, eat dinner, play solitaire, and tell Facebook that I'm giving up early. I'm playing a few more tournaments of solitaire in Solitaire Club when the phone rings - it's Elysha, Grandma's died. Howie called her. So I call Pearlman and he doesn't know. He hasn't been in touch with them all day. I told him to call Howie. He hasn't called back. Now he's going to have the guilt trip of his mother dying and him not being there. February is the longest damned month. 😭
