Today is gloomy. Last night Jenni came over - she still hasn't got tires for the truck. She also wanted $50 to get medicine for her cold. She sounds like she gargled razor blades and looks like she overdosed and came out of it. She brought back some of the knives and took the rest of the napkins and tablecloths. She had taken a pair of Mom's knockoff Uggs and they came apart. So she put them in the garbage and was wearing my sneakers! She wanted me to give them to her. I got them back and told her she could wear the torn up boots until she got home, but she pouted and went home in just her socks. She also did laundry and wanted to wash heavy blankets. I told her she couldn't, that they would ruin the washer - she needs to wash them in a big washer like at the laundromat.
Today Greg got a call from one of the places he put in an apartment request - they told him a 6 month to a year waiting list. He's not calling anybody else yet. He got a check for his records - $250. Between that and his comic book money, he'll have nearly $2000 in the bank. He's got to set his priorities straight.
I'm going to take some flags over to the VFW on Blevins Gap - near where I used to live - and leave them.
