Well, we got another inch or two of snow. It's warmed up some. It wasn't that hard to shovel the snow off. Steve tried to get the car uncovered and he did that, but clearing a way to the street may be hard. When I went out to clear the walks, I saw deer footprints come up to the porch. There were footprints of a man with very big feet and a dog - big feet for the dog, too - out on the walk by the street. Nobody shovels or blows snow in the morning. It was as quiet as a tomb.
I called Helene about the dress code for her wedding and she said since it's a Sunday afternoon, she'd wear a pants suit. Since I'm not letting Steven go in anything other than a suit, I'm going to wear a dress or skirt and blouse. We talked for nearly a half an hour and then our phones cut out.
I sent $5 Amazon cards to Ava and Morgan for their birthdays and a $25 donation to Erica's charity of choice for her birthday, that she asked for on Facebook.
Today people up and down the U.K. took to their doorstep to honor Captain Tom Moore with a national clap, a day after the 100-year-old died after testing positive for COVID-19. Prime Minister Boris Johnson had earlier urged the public to join in the clap “to show our appreciation for him and all that he stood for and believed in.” Captain Tom’s family said they were “incredibly touched” by the gesture and took part outside their home in the village of Marston Moretaine in Bedfordshire.
