Ate breakfast downstairs - the biscuits were very good, although I did not have gravy with them. I called Protective Services in NJ - they called a couple of days ago and left a message on the voice mail that shows up in my email. She said she wanted more information, which, of course, I didn't have. I told her about Mike Giordano taking our case.  She said Elysha could call her with any questions or information. Like we need that now. I'm hoping that $2000 "good faith" money doesn't just disappear. Elysha is so confident about her realtor... I'm a little wary about this house. It's so big! We aren't downsizing... It's actually Elysha's inheritance. She loves the house. I'm kind of iffy, because of all the junk. I hope they don't leave it and make Steven so happy because he won't need to buy furniture, like with the Verona house - we got stuck with all the Russian style stuff. We're going to have to paint this place - it looks like those houses in horror movies. I didn't look up at all the ceilings - it has popcorn ceilings like at Mom's house. They may have papered over some of them like in our house. Which was scary when we turned off the lights when the shades were drawn. Black as pitch with the dark wallpaper. Window treatments are part of what's left behind. Like what kind of window treatments? Blinds?
The water heater is also one of the appliances left behind. Who on Earth would take a water heater out of a house?
Elysha does such a god job, but it's getting to be too much for her. I don't know what to do - it's all too much for me.
The inspections, both here and back in Verona, are being done in the next few days. The attorney that's hunting John McDonagh down is coming on Friday after we get back from the vet. Elysha is doing all the paperwork, but we have a document that needs to be signed and notarized and returned by FedEx to the realtor that is selling our house in Verona. The water heater apparently has an outstanding permit, so it has to be inspected. Steven has a psychiatrist appointment before the vet's appointment. If he's not back by 1:30, I'll have to get a Lyft or Uber. And they both charge extra for pets. Sigh. I might be able to hit up Valerie or Adele to get a ride to the vet and Steven should be back to pick us up.
I'm so confused.
