This morning Steven called to tell me that they decided to let his mother go. She isn't living, she's just waiting to die. They are putting her into hospice care at the hospital. She won't be getting any food, just IV fluids, maybe not even that. She's essentially said goodbye to everyone that mattered. Elysha is going to be heartbroken. I don't know if they went to the hospital today. She didn't call me to let me know. Steven said it was just as well that I wasn't there. He said I didn't need to come - he didn't realize that I couldn't.
Last night, I was afraid something was happening to me - my left hand froze up so bad and I was nauseated. I was close to calling 911, but managed to talk myself down until it went away.
He called again around 7:30, to let me know what was going on and to remind me to get some clothes and his medicine together for him. Elysha is coming by tomorrow and will take it to him. 😥 I feel bad, but there's nothing I can do and I'd just be in the way. She called and said they'd be by around 9am, so not to deadbolt the door.😕
I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, so I looked up the number for medical transportation. I can get there either with that or Uber. I could even rent a car from Enterprise if it comes down to that.
