It's been a long day. John is getting on my back about getting the affidavit of descent signed and notarized with Greg as the signature. I am not sure is Stewart has to sign it. He's on vacation this week and I hate to bother him about this. I thought it would be easier for John to be in charge of selling the house because they've sold one or two houses, maybe more. Greg's still in the denial phase I think. Either that or he doesn't want to do anything for himself. John thinks that's what's the matter with Greg - he's just lazy. I'm nagging him to do what he can to find a new place to live so we can get started on selling the place. Jenni, Kara and I went through all the boxes of jewelry Mom had stashed in her drawers. Some pretty jewelry - a wind-up watch that belonged to Grandma Roberts - plain old grandma as Greg called her. I'm keeping the rings- Mom's engagement ring because I used to wear it to keep the soldiers on the bus to and from work in Louisville from hitting on me. There were 3 others that Jenni found that I don't know where they came from. I think they were in Grandma's jewelry box. Jenni found a Christmas card we had sent her - it still had $300 in it. She also found folders with half dollars and Eisenhower dollars in it. About $23. She kept it,  surprisibus, surprisibus.
I traded her 5 Sacajawea dollars for 5 of the Eisenhowers. We threw out a lot of stuff, because we just can't keep all of it. I called Steven. The guy who's getting us to send the comics is an author of The Comic Buyer's Guide. He says he'll give us at least $1000, maybe more for Greg's collection. He'll also do a cash advance, if necessary. We have to get the two boxes to a FedEx drop-off. Jenni is off tomorrow, but Kara isn't.  Kara brought the funeral thank you notes and I did them and stamped them. I've got to find a mailbox to drop them in.
