Merry Christmas. It's raining, and not too cold. Tried to take some pictures of Woodgie, but that's, as always, a lost cause. These two are okay, but the tree doesn't show in either of them, so you have to take my word that it's Christmas. 
I can't really say it's a merry Christmas. I'm here in New Jersey, my brothers are both in Louisville still, there's no feast at John's, and my mother is under a blanket of snow in Bethany Cemetery in Valley Station, Kentucky, beside my father, who's been there for 23 years.
Something oddly funny showed up in a search I did on Ancestry last night. It's kind of creepy, since a lot of the details are right, then it takes a wild swing into the weird. The facts in this collection were found using artificial intelligence technology and may contain errors. Seriously, Ancestry? May contain errors??? Wow. The truly weird part is how much of it is right, or close. He did live in Bloomington, IL, he died in 1997, his father's middle name was Dunbar, and his actual siblings were Milton Caress (his half brother) and Doris (Dottie) Johnson. The rest is just truly weird - born in 1905? Mother Sharon Malone? And where did those other siblings come from - and the extra child - Dreshawn M. Blaxton ??? A truly odd discovery.
