Heard from Stephen today. I e-mailed him yesterday because we were doing the phone tag thing of talking to voicemail.

Have been working on the driveway every day.  Ice is the worst. Getting more the whole week.

So maybe we can write back and forth again. Not likely to see him again, because there's no real reason for me to go to Kentucky again.

I got a  paint it yourself cup and saucer that was in the cabinet for years. I painted hearts on it - red was the only paint that survived. I'm baking it like it said. We'll see if it turns out ok.

I ordered a new tablecloth for the kitchen table, and took the old one off. I put a table runner on the middle. Not that the table will be this neat after a day or so.

I got the cat mat from the hall cleaned up and vacuumed the space where the rug up in my room- I put it in the washer, too - goes. It's the first time it's been washed. 

My hearing aid is better - I think I've found the right volume and placement. But I keep hearing things that apparently aren't happening. Like just now, I heard the water from the refrigerator, but he's not in there, getting a drink or not. And Woodgie can't do that!

Other than all that, it's been the usual dull day. No mail because it's Presidents' Day, but there were packages from Amazon and FedEx. Naturally. We had a fight about the onslaught of packages in the cat litter room last night. He stormed off while I was in the shower and he's been curled up in his room all day - he's still there. So I guess I'll be cooking dinner for myself.
