Went out and shoveled twice. Valerie and I were the only ones out earlier. I got the recycling can. I got up after I heard them pick it up. It snowed more, so I went out just after I posted the weather here. It's 2:36 now. I didn't even break a sweat.
I talked for a while with Stephen Reas. He's in a little county town and helps his uncle- his mother's brother - with the farm he owns. He says that his uncle used to have two farms and sold one with all its tractors and stuff and keeps one. It was good to talk to him. I think he's not getting to talk to anyone besides his uncle and his sister, who he lives with. It sounds like he's got quite a job keeping their driveway clear - he said they live on a hill. I don't think we'll keep in touch. He sounds a bit more country than I expected.
I ran the washer with nothing in it to try to get the dirt out. I'd put some of the towels from outside that were covered in cat litter. They were really too dirty to wash, so Steve threw them out and we both wiped the washer out. I've got to see if that worked.
