Well, I took my check to the bank (PNC) and opened a checking account and applied for a credit card (to help my FICO score - the application alone will help). I'm going to talk to a financial advisor tomorrow to see about investing some of it. I wish Mom were here to tell about it. 😢 

Steve wants to file out taxes right away and I'm trying to get him to put it off so that it won't affect our "stimulus check" because he has that $50,000 from his mom and I have the $12,000 from my mom. He says the check is nothing - but I say it could pay the taxes.
