It's very muggy out today - maybe another thunderstorm is coming. My pumpkins are about to bloom. I wondered if my watermelon seeds would take, but apparently not.
I wrote a little note about how I was feeling and put it in a note to Steven for our anniversary. I'm sure he's going to get bent all out of shape to read it, but I keep thinking these things and am edgy about talking to him about it.
I know that my crankiness is somewhat offensive to you and that is why you aren't
amenable to making love anymore. I guess it's why you seem to avoid me when you
can and keep a distance if you can't.... I get presents from you - but mostly things
you like. I haven't much room to put what are only my things and I've reached a point
where I look up at the bare bulb in the light our bedroom and wonder how I got
into this slum. I know I complain a lot. I know I'm hard to live with. We need to
try and remember why we fell in love - and it wasn't just Batman. To touch you
and kiss you and be close to you means a lot to me- it's why I fell in love with you.
I'd like to know that man again.
Happy Anniversary and lots of love from the cranky old lady who you married 36 years ago.
