Turns out that the Hanukkah celebration at Town Hall is not till 5 o'clock today, so we let Steven have the car to go to Jameson's. He says he'll be home by 5. I baked some Jell-O cookies and burned one sheet of them, had to throw them out. Yesterday just kind of wore me out.
I made an egg cream and Kara was appalled. I had a latke that we got at Foodtown with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream or applesauce (I didn't think of that when I bought it).
I was bounced for the ornament exchange on Reddit - the last one, too. Apparently, I needed to validate my e-mail again. But they didn't send a validation. I'm miffed.
We went to the Hanukkah celebration, but it wasn't much, as far as we could tell. They played some music and people were dancing, then a rabbi came, and sang the blessing and lit the candles, all of them. I guess it was because he couldn't do it tomorrow night. Then there was more music and dancing. No food involved, as far as we knew. We had seen Karen and Joan leaving the library before we went, so there was that. I introduced them to Kara and told them they were lucky that they didn't have to work during the Fair in the Square.
