I'll give them mostly cloudy today. I got an email from LiveJournal, my blog before this one. The last entry was 2010. It's been a long time since I looked at it. It was a writing challenge from Budgie Barnett. This is it.
She fit the mask tightly to her face, and then set it to escalate the air flow steadily.
As she closed her eyes, she wondered how many of the dead would come tonight, taking her to places of yesteryear and treating her to jokes, lectures, food, and fun of the past.                    Sometimes she glided through clouds. Then, she could speak to the denizens of both land and sky. There were never things that she did not recognize. She knew every relative, celebrity, superhero, or animal that she met.
This time though, she met a stranger, who bowed before her and offered his cape. He smiled a dazzlingly white smile as he placed his cape around her shoulders with a comforting hug.        Then, taking her hand, he led her toward the clouds. As they rose from the soft grass in the unfamiliar park, she was amazed that she did not recognize a thing. Stranger still was the orange grass and the purple sky. The breeze was gentle on her forearm as she reached out to pull the suddenly tight cape from around her neck.                                                                      The CPAP machine chirped its leakage warning and her eyes opened.                                        Stranger and stranger dreams every night!

It's pretty good. I'm not sure what it was for, but there were some superhero writing groups I was in on with Live Journal. I wrote a lot on there.
Heard from my friend Joan. I am having surgery on July 18th. I will be out of the hospital the next day but have to take off 6 weeks. The Dr sees no signs that it has spread to any other organ. And I won’t need chemo! I won’t even lose the kidney! The dr … I mean robot (yes, I am having robotic surgery) will take out the tumor and surrounding area.🤖 I asked the dr if he will be in the operating room - I was afraid he might be working at his computer from his office or from a laptop on the beach! He said he will be right there and be ready to take over 🔪 if the need arises. I don’t want a robot with an attitude! I guess God wants to postpone having to deal with me for awhile. He’s got enough problems! Thank you and Steven for all your good wishes. I think it helped me more than I realized! ❤️Yes, I will be going on short term disability. The nurse said I could go back to work earlier than 6 weeks if I am feeling up to it. I said, "Hell No." I am taking every second of those 6 weeks!
