Last night, we went to dinner at Cuban Pete's and to a Sixties show at the Wellmont. The show was full of memorable songs (Pleasant Valley Sunday and Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head were two that made me cry) and pictures from the 60s (the above also were in the "made me cry" bunch). It was a good show, although heavy on the rock bands I didn't like - Procol Harum, the Doors, Stevie Wonder, for example. It was nice to get out of the house.
Today, it was cold this morning - the thermostat said it was 60°, so I turned on the heat. Nothing happened. Checked the pilot light- not one, as far as I could see. Nothing on the heater to tell me how to light it. So, we got in contact (after a lot of trouble) with PSE&G (we have a worry-free policy for the heater- which we should've used instead of the place that charged us a small fortune to fix the burnt-out wire in the AC in August). They said they'd come tomorrow afternoon (Steve made the appointment online -and I'm surprised they'll come on a Sunday). I'm hopeful, because it got cool sooner than I expected.
