Going to go to the grocery - going to Fresh Grocer, rather than Kings, so that I can cash in the change. Steve has a package to be mailed, so I should stop by the post office.
I went to the post office - there isn't a "Parcel Post"anymore - it's "Ground Advantage". It started at $4.65. Steve's was $7.85.
I went to thefreshgrocer supermarket in Cedar Grove (formerly FoodTown) - you'd think they were giving a senior discount. They were packed! I got $27.19 from Coinstar in cash. They don't have Amazon as an option anymore. When I went to the cashier to get the money, there was an old woman arguing over the price of something (turned out it was mayonnaise) for at least 10 minutes. She finally got the attention of the other cashier who pointed out to her that the card on her phone wasn't theirs, it was ShopRite. That didn't stop her, she argued a few minutes more, with the lady telling her they couldn't accept the ShopRite card. Finally, she said she wasn't going to waste her time on this, take the mayonnaise back and give her credit toward the ketchup or something that was less than the mayo. I never heard such bitching and then "I'm not going to waste my time" when she'd already wasted at least 10 minutes of her time - and the cashiers'.
I got a lot for my money - even without a card. 😂 I spent a little over $60 and got a lot more than I intended - including some turnovers that were just like the ones from Arby's. When I got home, Steve was in bed again. He isn't downstairs. I had three bags full of groceries and had to haul them all in and put them away. He was going through some of the stuff at the edge of his room when I left. He put it all in front of the pantry, where I would've put a lot of stuff, but could never get back there again if I had.
At 6 pm, I find him in my bed, with Woodgie on his side. He has my blanket over his head, which means my sheets are going o smell like him. It's 7pm. He's back in his own bed. I'm going up to give Woodgie her meds and take a shower.
