A real great morning. Steve was having trouble with the computer and printer with one of his Amazon returns (not enough of them). So he's all pissy-faced and when I hit the limit when I couldn't get it done - of course I'm yelling, according to him - he says I need to stop yelling, I say I'm not, he says all I'm doing is bitch about everything, I say there's plenty to bitch about. Then he tells me to move. I say I would if I could. He says to look for someplace, he'll pay for it. I guess I will start looking. Zillow shows rentals up near Elysha, Jenni and Kara.
Also, I have a return to Amazon, and they won't take it anyplace close. Nearest is Petco in West Orange. So, I'll be trekking out today later. It's going to be a long day - it has been already - and I got up around 11 AM.
It's 2:18 PM. I am going to try to get things returned. And pick up a bag of dry food for Woodgie.
Ok. Mine got returned fine. PetCo only had chicken flavor in Woodgie's food, so I got a small bag. I also got a little treat of wet food in a pouch - not her usual brand. We'll see how she likes that. So far, so good. I get to Staples to return Steve's. It starts raining hard. I get my umbrella out and head inside with two QR codes, in case one is too small or too big. Ready for this? He says the code has already been scanned. So, I head for home and stop to get gas - filled it up at Delta and it only cost $17. Steve has adjourned to my bed, so I have to wait for the fallout about the return for a while. Not my fault. He had 6 packages on the porch - 3 of them the mailman brought as I pulled in. Two of them had been there for a bit, so were wet. Also not my fault. I almost left them on the porch but that would've been petty. I got two packages - one a bathmat, the other HP Instant Ink, which I had chatted with someone at HP about when we were trying to print out the QR codes. Someone has messaged me about buying the lamp I put on Facebook Marketplace - $15! That'll almost pay me back for the gas! Assuming she comes to get it - with money. Apparently not tonight... Sigh.
Well, he's gone to bed in his room. Another night by myself. Wonder if I could just get away for the weekend. I could get an Uber or Lyft. Or even take a bus. I should look at hotels around here. I've been looking at houses near Elysha - they are all too big for 1 or 2 people without kids or pets. Some that I could afford by myself...
