Well, I'm home, or what is home for a little bit longer... Had breakfast at the hotel - turned out it wasn't free. If I'd known, I'd have just gotten a cup of coffee. Instead, I had a cappuccino and a bagel. Which came to a little over $11. Like I said, my Savor Rewards should be great next month.
When I got home, Woodgie barely acknowledged me. I unloaded everything and took last night's medicine this morning. Only thing is I forgot 2 of them were to help me sleep. So, I guess it was good that I got the cappuccino. I'm drinking the rest of the Coke I got yesterday.
Daniel messaged me and said they had over 120 groups showing and two Open Houses. They have eight offers, and he wants to talk to me about them this afternoon. The closing for offers is 2 pm. The visiting hour at the hospital is 2-3, so I told him that would be time I'm unavailable. Maybe I can get Elysha on the phone to help me. I messaged her to see if she can. I'm not sure I'm anymore mentally stable enough to make decisions of this sort on my own.
Things are in the laundry. The housekeeping person gave me towels when I asked to trade the wet one from my room. So, I kept them. Not morally correct, but there's no way to trace them back to me. S/he didn't make note of giving them to me or what room I was in or anything. I needed one to wrap my wet suit in and used a washcloth between me and my new underwear. The face towel? Hell, just because I didn't want an extra towel to show up and make it uneven. It won't confuse Housekeeping that way. I left $15 for them. I figured they cleaned up Steven's mess yesterday and mine today. Probably wasn't enough, but Steven didn't have housekeeping the other days. He didn't even leave the room apparently. When I left the hotel, I told the lady from the front desk how he was doing, and she said she'd pray for him. Every little bit helps.
I haven't heard anything from him - well, I haven't checked my Xfinity mail yet.
Daniel just messaged. Somebody wants to come by for a second look at 10:30 today. He says they are very interested. There's a 2pm deadline for bids. I'm going to go get gas in the car, I think. He said they'd be about 20 minutes.
They came in as I was leaving, told them about the attic and one of the guys asked about the heat - was it oil? I told him forced air - natural gas.
Valerie came by as I was getting ready to leave for the hospital - I had a half an hour and set an alarm for 1:30.
Steven looked bad- not terrible, but bad. He said he needs another pair of jeans. The ones he has are falling off - and he isn't allowed a belt. I had brought some clean underwear and shirts but forgot to take them out of the car. It takes me almost a half hour to get from the parking lot to the front entrance of the hospital He's still very anxious and shaky. He's trying to eat, but so far, everything is spicy he says.
Daniel hasn't gotten back to me about when he can come today. He says he'll call around six. He also said he's had 33 offers for the house! Elysha says she can initiate a three-way-call or he should be able to patch her in. We had a good chat. The house had bids from asking to some dollars over. The one that stood out to Daniel, with another realtor doing the showing, got the top bid, with a hard money loan - I think that's what he said. It is $525,000. It's builders, not future homeowners. They'd do the same as the house down the street - gut it and rebuild it.
I've booked my flight to South Bend and back on the 17th till the 24th of next month.
