Hi. I'm back. I've been through a lot in the past few years. I've retired, although Bill retired the year before I did. That was a surprise. I got news of it while dealing with calamity at/with my mother in 2017. Seems he was "forced" to retire - he'd been using his computer at work for pornography - watching it, not composing it. Well, at least as far as I know, I looked at his history (which they SAVED!) and, in amongst his sermons and bulletins was some really interesting (if you're in to that sort of stuff) things. I only saw one, beyond titles, but that was enough. Very interesting. Someone told me about it - but not the "higher-ups". Apparently everyone but me.
Anyway, after some health problems - my mom's and my own - we found out, after she deserted both Ed and Kara and got arrested for possession of heroin, Jenni was an addict and living with a felon, whom she said made her happy. She's since left him, finished probation and moved into a rooming house, which I am mostly paying the rent on. She's been through several jobs which makes me worry that she's not sober anymore. I worry, but there's not much I can do from here. Apparently the social services in Indiana are not what they used to be. She can't get assistance, at any rate.
Kara is about to graduate from college - Ball State in Muncie Indiana, with a major in Japanese and a minor in graphic design. She's applying for jobs now.
Elysha and Jimi are still together and have lost a few of their animal family. They have two dogs now though and they are going to be the only children they are going to have. One, a French Bulldog mix, is named Quigley and goes to work with Elysha and drives his "sister" Eva, a pit bull, shih tzu, boxer mix, nuts. She stays home an watches TV while Jimi goes to work - his veterinarian doesn't have enough room for her to go to work with him anymore. She a sweet, but very excitable, dog. They lived here for a year or so, but have moved into an apartment complex in Parsippany, which is very nice.
Woodgie is getting to be a needy old gal, but I love her.
One of the exciting shows we've seen over the past couple of years has been Lewis Black. We went to Red Bank to see him for my 65th birthday - and got really lost coming and going. The next time we went to see him was Englewood, at the Bergen PAC. We'd been there before, but still got lost going in and horribly lost, as we wound up on the George Washington Bridge before Steven could get turned around to get on roads he knew to get home. We're going to see Black again this year - in, believe it or not, somewhere we can find- Montclair!!!! Parking will be our only problem. It's free, but it'll be Friday night and that could be the problem.
Well, another year almost gone. It hasn't been a great one, but at least everybody is still going. With any luck, we'll elect a sane person to be President and things will look up next year. It's getting better all the time!
