Blood Pressure: 106/68  Pulse: 60

Cathy said Mom called her and told her that they are going to do surgery on her gall bladder tomorrow - a tiny incision. Cathy said she sounded good.
I went for my blood tests. Apparently I hit a previous trip on Google maps. I was headed to Pennsylvania. I got turned around and got there on time. Doing the paperwork and getting the blood drawn took less time than getting there. I got an email for the library director that said a library employee had tested positive for COVID.

Dear Verona Library members,

This letter is to inform you that an individual at the Verona Public Library has tested positive for COVID-19. The Montclair Health Department is in the process of notifying any individual who is identified as being a close contact with the positive individual to self quarantine and monitor symptoms as a precaution as per the health department guidance. We are following CDC, state, and local health department guidance in order to ensure the health and safety of our community.

Please remember that everyone should self-monitor for symptoms and consult with a healthcare professional immediately should any symptoms develop. Information and guidelines can be found at https://covid19.nj.gov and cdc.gov.

As a reminder, the Centers for Disease Control recommends the following actions to help limit and prevent the spread of COVID-19:

-Wear face coverings and practice social distancing staying at least 6-feet apart,

-Wash hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds and/or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol),

-Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth,

-Avoid close contact with people who are sick,

-Do not share food, drinks and/ or utensils.

Please be assured that we are taking this matter very seriously. If there is any other pertinent information that arises, we will notify you immediately.

I forwarded it to Joan who replied she didn't know who it was, that the director said that none of the staff had contact with the person. She thought maybe it was someone in the cleaning crew or from Town Hall. Still kind of scary.

I've reset my computer and it seems to have solved the slow problems I had. I've been reading old comic books and today I found a letter in the Metropolis Mailbag from Elliot S. Maggin.

I posted it to Facebook. It's a light moment in all the political brouhaha. Biden is in the lead by just a bit. One or two of three states could lose it. They are Georgia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Two of those are states whose governors were flipped from Republicans. So maybe.... But Kentucky flipped its governor and it reelected both McConnell and Trump.
