Kara is in the air, should be landing in Atlanta soon. She just made it to her connecting flight to Atlanta from Amsterdam. They checked her bag all the way through because she was running (literally) so late. She said - I had to sprint to passport control, where a guard directed me through so I could be scanned, and then I had to sprint to my gate. But I made it. I got random security checked at the gate. And also they checked my bag in Berlin at the gate all the way to my destination apparently instead of getting it when I get off the plane. Which worked out because I don’t think i would have made it if I had the roller suitcase. “It should be fine” my ass we were later than it said. ðŸ˜I had to break my own rule
This trip is 2 hours longer than the one on the way here, I had to pee in the plane bathroom.
And they landed in Atlanta on time. She said - NOT PEOPLE ACTUALLY CLAPPING FOR THE PLANE LANDING I THOUGHT THAT WAS A MYTHShe said this is what happened when she got to Louisville- So apparently what had happened was they didn’t register when I got off at Atlanta that my bag was no longer checked, so I had two checked bag numbers for my bag And my hoarding tendencies meaning I still had the check bag number from Amsterdam, is how I managed to get my bag back It didn’t come out on the belt because it was under a different number than the one I had originally, so the guy from the office had to go look for it
Steve and I went to look at dishwashers and got a fairly inexpensive one, but it cost $900 to get it delivered and installed. Got it at American Freight. We had lunch at 5 Guys Burgers and I got some watercolor paper at Jerry's Art Supply. We went to Petco near American Freight - they didn't have either the wet food or the dry food Woodgie likes. We went to Petco by us, same thing. So, we went to Kings and got her wet and dry food and some groceries. It was a big day - Steve is sacked out on my bed (5:30 pm).
I watched the Sandman short episode with Calliope on Netflix. We had watched it upstairs, but I couldn't understand a lot of it and Woodgie kept getting in the way. It's very good - the whole series, once you get into it, is very good. Another short episode called "Dream of a Thousand Cats" was animated and also very good. I didn't watch it again, although maybe I will.
