I figured out how to format this - I used Google docs as my Notepad. Today, so far, Elysha hasn't called or texted and Steven is asleep.

Packed my big bag and the one I want to give away with the clothes in it. I'll ask Katie at the front desk if they can dispose of it for me... It's our last night here... She said they would.

I had a decent breakfast - croissants with ham and egg. I brought one up for Steven. They were in a plastic bag, so it wasn't too hard to get them up here.

We went out to lunch (almost dinner - but that's a story in itself) with Ella and Elliot. They have a nice place in an assisted living facility in Englewood, called the Bristol. We went to a restaurant not far from their place called the Bicycle Club. It was a disaster from the moment we walked in. We got seated at a table near the back door and there was a funeral wake upstairs. At least half the people at the first came in that way and it was cold. Ella and Elysha both went to the front to complain and finally we packed up and moved to a table in the back - it was toasty. Then the second wave came in to go upstairs and we were caught in a draft again. The staff paid no attention to us until finally a kid came over and took our orders. I seemed like an hour later, they brought Ella's salad and Steve's steak sandwich which was supposed to be plain, but had arugula and onions on it. Steve picked it off and Jimi made it clear to the server that his order was wrong. We had a bottle of Prosecco, which Ella and Elliot liked. Jimi had a glass and I did, too. I polished off the bottle so it wasn't going to waste. Ella picked up the tab, which was probably way too much and probably gave the servers a bigger tip than they deserved. We did have a nice time talking and it was nice to see them again. Elliot looked pretty good and he wasn't too out of it, like we expected. Ella has a broken hip healing up and she was doing better than we expected, too.

We crammed everything into our packed suit cases and will finish off the carry-ons in the morning. We're going to have to  leave tomorrow around 10:30. We have to be out by 11 and Elysha has to return the car before noon.

I'm going to check in now so things might not be as hairy as they usually are.

Steven's carry-on can be gate checked (at least I think it's gate checked), so I did it for him. I'm panicking already.
